Iguazu Falls

Bigger than Kakabeka Falls, and smaller than the Marianas Trench, Iguazu Falls is quite the site to see. This picture is only one of many falls found at Iguazu and certainly not the biggest one, but the only one with a rainbow (that I saw).

For my trip to Iguazu, I stayed on the Argentinian side to avoid border issues and visa requirements, etc. and to facilitate my next stop which is also in Argentina. The hostel had their own taxi and collectivo service, so I signed up with three other people (1 from Argentina and 2 from Mexico) to head to Iguazu Falls. The couple from Mexico decided we were staying until closing time (6 p.m.) which turned out to be a good idea since the falls is an enormous place with about 10 km of trails. After checking out all of the areas that I could, enjoying the rushing water and taking some pictures, I only had about an hour to spare, so I just read a book in a shady area. I’m not sure exactly what the temperature was, but my guess would be about 35 Celsius with little to no breeze and a hot sun. Back at the hotel, I enjoyed a cool shower and the peace and quiet of the resort/hostel.
