Just because I’m not out of the country, doesn’t mean I’m not travelling any more! There are many interesting things to do in my immediate area and within a few hours drive or ride.
Last night, I was very fortunate to attend a home concert north of Kingston that featured Erin Costelo, a Canadian musician from Halifax that has an impressive resume including playing with Joel Plaskett and the National Arts Centre Orchestra, co-writing songs with Stephen Fearing, and winning an East Coast Music Award for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year. Erin was accompanied by Clive MacNutt on guitar.
As usual, the hosts of the home concert, Carol and Leonard, put on a great event with appetizers, drinks and great conversation before the concert and desserts and hot beverages in between sets.
