Apparently, my passport wasn’t too big of a problem as no one asked me about why it was wrinkly. They probably see wet passports every once in a while, lol. The only snag was my pronunciation of T in Spanish. Apparently, when I say it, it always sounds like the Spanish letter CH. After writing down what I was saying, it finally made sense to the customs official.
So, I made it to Bariloche to a very nice hostel overlooking a big white building, but if you look to the left a bit, you get a lake view. For those who grew up with French pronunciations, you might want to say, Barilotch, eh!, but if you’re familiar with Spanish and how every letter is pronounced, then just say Bariloche. The staff in the hostel are very helpful and have the scoop on all the cool things to do in Bariloche, so I’m going to see if I am still able to ride a bike today. Apparently, there is a lot of up and down. After being lazy for several days in Montevideo, it is time for a challenge.
