Santiago has a lot more to offer than can fit in two days. These guys were in the Museum of Pre-Colombian Art which was fascinating. After a tours4tips tour in the morning, many of the participants decided to have a late lunch together and I managed to order a great seafood chowder at a local eatery. The people in the tour were from all over including Europe and North America.
The tour itself visited many of the markets in downtown Santiago and the cemetery which doesn’t sound too exciting, but it was different than most cemeteries I’ve ever seen. Just about everything was above ground and there were many mausoleums designed in many different ways.
The afternoon was spent between the fine arts museum which was a disappointment and the Pre-Colombian Art Museum which was fantastic.
